I lost my full time job a few months before this piece was started.  As I had the time on my hands, I decided to take a class from Hollis Chatelain to learn the technique of painting using dyes.  This piece is my first painted piece using thickened Procion dyes.  The piece was painted on white cotton fabric with 6 values of red dye. 

Despite the injustices and hardships involved with losing my full-time employment, I found my way through and “I Remain.”
