This quilt is inspired by a piece of medieval limoges champlevé enamel that is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  The piece of limoges moved me and some time later I decided to make this quilt.

The fabrics used in the construction of the angel itself have been hand dyed by me.
